Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, those farmers who have been found ineligible due to income tax or other issues are required to return the money they got as part of the scheme to the Indian government.

According to an investigation into the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, 21 lakh farmers who were chosen in Uttar Pradesh were discovered to be ineligible, according to state agriculture minister Surya Pratap Shahi. “There are many such cases in which both husband and wife are getting the benefit of this scheme. Those found ineligible included many who used to file income tax,” said Shahi.

The minister said that the money that was previously granted to those ineligible farmers under the program will be recovered.

According to the scheme, eligible landholding small and marginal farmers families will receive a direct payment of Rs. 6000 per year, distributed in three equal instalments of Rs. 2000 each, every four months, into their Aadhaar-seeded bank accounts.

Step 3: Click on “If not paid earlier then select this option to refund the amount online now.”

Step 4: Select search by from options Aadhaar number, Account number, mobile number

Step 5: Enter Aadhaar number(If selected Aadhaar) and captcha code

Step 6: Click on ‘Get data’

On the next page, you will find all your details along with previous payments.

Step 7: Click on the refund payment tickbox, enter mail id and contact details and confirm.

Step 8: On the next page, all the details of refund will be displayed and click on confirm.

Step 9: Under the payment page, select the bank to make payment.

For eligible farmers in Bihar, they can use below accounts to make payment, according to the Direct Benefit Transfer, Agriculture Department, Government of Bihar.

Individual from Bihar can transfer by following below steps

Step 1: Visit Direct Benefit Transfer, Agriculture Department, Government of Bihar

Step 2: Click on Application status under menu

Step 3: Select ‘PM Kisan Income tax ineligible farmers’

Step 4: Enter your registration number or mobile number and click on Search

Step 5: List along with details will be displayed

Step 6: Select the payment amount and bank to make payment.

According to the website, “It will be necessary and mandatory to return the amount received so far by the ineligible farmers.”
