Federal Bank has revised fixed deposit interest for amounts below Rs 2 crore. The new rates are effective from December 18, 2022. After the revision, the bank will offer interest rates between 3% and 7.25% for regular citizens and 3.50% and 7.75% for senior citizens.

On deposits that mature in the 7 to 29 days, the bank is offering an interest rate of 3%, while Federal Bank is offering an interest rate of 3.25% on deposits that mature in the following 30 to 45 days. Federal Bank now offers interest rates of 4.00% for fixed-rate deposits that mature in 46 days to 60 days and 4.25% for those that mature in 61 days to 90 days.

Deposits that mature in 91 to 119 days will earn interest at a rate of 4.50%, and those that mature in the following 120 to 180 days will earn interest at a rate of 4.75%. The bank is presently offering an interest rate of 5.75% on deposits maturing in the next 181 days to 270 days, and a rate of 6.00% on deposits maturing in the next 271 days to less than a year.

Federal Bank now offers interest rates of 7.25% on FDs maturing in 18 months or more and 6.60% on those maturing in 1 year or less.

Deposits maturing from more than two years to less than three years will now earn interest at a rate of 6.75%, while those maturing from three years to less than five years will now earn interest at a rate of 6.50%. The bank offers an interest rate of 6.30% on FDs maturing in 5 years to 2221 days. FDs maturing in 2222 days and 2223 days will fetch an interest rate of 6.40% and 6.30%, respectively.
